About the
Granby Rodeo

Rodeo has been a mainstay in Granby since 1943. We have been at our current location since 1969.

Flying Heels Rodeo, with our “flying Heels” of the bucking horse represents not just rodeo, but also the heels of cowboys and cowgirls flying over these many years. From tiny heels and 4-H, ropers and fast riding barrel racers, to the rough stock riders’ heels flying high as they buck off.

We are so  happy to have you along for the ride. Saddle up with us for the longest running rodeo series in the county with tough competitors of all ages entertaining you.

You can always count on the standard rodeo events and Mutton Bustin’, as well as one-of-a-kind special acts! On select dates one or more of the following acts are on the schedule: Flintstone Gravel Belgian Team/Hitch, Shockwave's Trick and Fancy Riding Team, the famous Westernaires from Golden, CO, the unique Motorcycle Barrel Race that we started in the 1980’s, Mounted Shooting, Mini Bronc’s, and many other surprises!

Pull your boots on and come join us every Saturday night June and July plus the 4th, 5th, and 6th of July.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Are dogs allowed?

Friendly, well behaved dogs on a leash are allowed, however, rodeo is loud and the fireworks are really loud, so we recommend putting them in your vehicle.

2.What time should I get there?

The admission tickets are for general seating. We don't have reserved seating. Please try to arrive early. 5pm on July 3-4th and 6pm on other nights.

3. Can we Bring our own food and Alcohol?

Food, beer and alcohol are sold by the Rotary and other vendors. Please don't BYOB.

4. Is there reserved seating?

Seating is first come first served.

5. Do you cancel shows due to the weather?

NO, Rodeo goes on rain or shine. We have covered seating.

6. What time are the fireworks?

Rodeo is a live event so things can change, but we aim to have the fireworks shoot-off right after the last bull bucks; shooting for about 9:15p.m.

7. Are spectators allowed everywhere?

No, spectators are not allowed in the arena or pens (except for Mutton bustin' boot scramble etc.). We also request that you try to stay in the spectator area and be respectful and aware of the competitors horses that can spook, bite or kick. Additionally, at times horses are moving in and out of the arena at a very fast pace for a particular event/act.
